Reverend Ivan Makuch 21 October 1914 - 10 February 2010 . legacy.com Reverend Ivan Makuch passed away peacefully at home at the age of 95. He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Marie), Nestor and Andrij; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Nina, Natalia, Lianna, Larisa, Tania and John Makuch, and two great-grandchildren, Simon and Ryan Makuch. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kateryna (nee Hnat); three brothers in childhood, Volodymyr, Yakiv and Simon, and brothers Stefan and (the second) Yakiv in Ukraine.
Блаженнішому Любомирові ‒ 77. ugcc.org.ua 26 лютого 2010 року Главі Української Греко-Католицької Церкви виповнюється 77 років. Зважаючи на час Великого посту та щільний графік роботи, ніяких особливих святкувань не передбачено. Єдине, що пригадує сьогодні про свято ‒ отримання численних привітань від єпископів УГКЦ, священиків, представників державної та місцевих органів влади, інтелігенції. Нехай Господь збереже і примножить свої дари для Блаженнішого Любомира ‒ йому на освячення, Церкві на зростання, а Богові на славу.

Це стало логічним продовженням тем попередніх років. Зокрема, 2008 рік був присвячений розглядові християнського покликання взагалі.

Бажаю вам і собі, щоб той, хто буде вибраний провідником нашої держави, щиро, не тільки на словах, любив Україну і наш народ.

We are His beloved children who have been abundantly blessed and who on our part ought to always give thanks to our Creator and Heavenly Father and to the newborn Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. We need to desire a respect for everything that our God bestows upon us. At this holy time, let us strive to understand that the realization itself of the truth that all that comes from God is good, is already another great gift of our Most Holy, Almighty God. As I end my Christmas greeting, my sincere wish is that you may all have a true awareness of God’s love for us and may your hearts always overflow with gratitude for this great gift!
