Thank you, Maria

About you, Maria, there is much to admire
Above all, to be recognized, has never been your desire.
You never pointed out all you had done
Completing almost any task, under the sun.

As our receptionist you took so many tasks in hand,
You tackled many projects, small or grand.
You still found time to help each and every one
As we worked hard, you made it fun.

From those who have worked with you through the years
Thank you, Maria, with love, smiles, hugs and tears.
What you have brought into our lives, is hard to measure,
Your many gifts have been such a treasure.

Thank you for order, prayers and gift of song,
For not losing patience when things went wrong.
You shared compassion, understanding and a gentle heart
Which helped us all to do our part.

We wish you and Father Stephen the very best!
May the work you do be fulfilling and blest.
The thought that keeps us from feeling too sad –
Just three years in Ottawa, won’t be all that bad.

Maria's FarewellMaria Wojcichowsky's Farewell Lunch, 24 April 2007

After 12 years with the Eparchy of Edmonton, eparchial secretary Maria Wojcichowsky is moving to Ottawa, where her husband, Rev. Stephen Wojcichowsky, is now Director of the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies. She will be greatly missed by everyone on the Chancery staff and by our entire eparchy. The Ukrainian Catholic Church in Edmonton is extremely grateful to Maria for her years of selfless dedication to our Church community.
